I was given a randomly-chosen utilitarian object, and asked to photograph it in a way that made it seem interesting and noteworthy. My designated object was translucent plastic file tabs. I manipulated the material using ink, water, fire, ice, and paint, and photographed the objects in hundreds of different locations and lights. The result is a thourough exploration of form.
